More Information about Garrard 401 Motor Unit
Garrard 401 Turntable Motor Unit (s/n 36937). This is the later version with the raised strobe.
Everything is working well and running quietly, The idler wheel is in a good condition. Stable speeds are reached quickly with the speed control close to the centre position. Good bearing without excessive free play. Mechanics and linkages are very clean with no corrosion.
Cosmetically decent but there are some marks, including two scratches to paintwork and a dust bug mark. The platter mat is non-original, but is a nice thick suede.
Includes plinth mounting studs/nuts.
£575 ovno + shipping (very carefully packed with platter removed and plenty of padding/protection).
