More Information about Rotel RA-1592 Integrated Amplifier
Rotel's top of the line integrated amplifier.
Full working order, condition as good as new. The product manual was issued digitally, and the PDF is available from the Rotel website.
Contains a good (MM) phono stage, a 768kHz/32-bit AKM DAC, as well as an aptX Bluetooth module, A/B speaker outputs, and twin (mono) subwoofer outputs, so works brilliantly as the hub of a modern entertainment system, with more inputs and outputs than most people will ever need.
The pre-amp section is especially good, with great functionality: each input level can be set individually.
This model has been around for a few years, and has become a bit of a classic, consistently placing at or near the top of Hi-Fi group tests in the trade press (most recently in the February 2020 issue of Hi-Fi Choice). Perhaps that is why these amplifiers don't appear very often on the second-hand market.
In over two years of (admittedly gentle) use, this machine hasn't skipped a beat, and has driven various speakers with almost nonchalant ease. I doubt I have used more than 30% of its volume capabilities.
This is a large, imposing, statement amplifier, and I will be sad to see it go. Hopefully it will find a good home.

When Hi-fi News reviewed this amplifier, they put it through a full suite of lab tests, and it was shown to produce 2 x 225W at 8 ohms, and 2 x 445W at 4 ohms, which is well in excess of its specified power limits. The lab report went on to say "furthermore, the huge power supply ensures there's plenty of headroom to accomodate dynamic peaks: up to 315W, 605W, 1,110W, and a full 1,840W into 8, 4, 2 and 1 ohm loads at <1% THD. That's 42.9A of clean current. Distortion holds to an impressive 0.001-0.003% over a full 200W range through bass and midrange, increasing to 0.017% at 20kHz, while the frequency response is ruler flat with mere -0.1dB limits at 20Hz and 100kHz!"
Supplied complete with original power cable, USB cable, and remote control, all in the original packaging.
The only downside with this machine is its weight (about 17kgs): it won't be cheap to ship, and the cost of shipping will be added to the asking price. Alternatively, the buyer can collect from Hereford, United Kingdom.
This product is only being offered for sale to United Kingdom customers.
